Research papers are usually written for specialists. That is necessary, but it also means the most interesting part of the work is often buried under compressed language, technical shorthand, and assumptions about what the reader already knows.

This blog is where I want to do the opposite. I want to write about research in plain language, with enough precision to stay honest and enough narrative to make the ideas readable.

Most posts here are short commentaries on projects I have worked on: what question the work asks, why that question matters, what the central idea is, and where the limits still are.
